Visual Elevation is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What data we collect

Data you provide directly, when you use the contact form or message us on WhatsApp/email:

• Name
• Email address
• Type of project
• Location of the shoot
• Approximate dates
• How the content will be used
• Any additional details you share

Data collected automatically, when you visit visualelevation.io:

• IP address, device type, browser, approximate location, pages visited, and referral source, collected via the analytics tools listed in section 4.

We do not collect payment card details directly; any invoicing/payment is handled outside the website.

4. Cookies and third-party tools

We use the following tools on the site. Non-essential tools only load after you accept them via our cookie consent banner (Cookiebot). See our Cookie Policy for full details.

• Google Analytics: website usage statistics
• Google Tag Manager: loads/manages the tags listed here
• Google Tag: Google’s tagging system underlying Analytics and Ads
• Microsoft Clarity: usage analytics and session behavior insights
• Ahrefs: site analytics/SEO monitoring
• Google Search Console: confirms site ownership for search performance monitoring; does not set cookies or track visitors
• Google Remarketing (Google Ads): shows Visual Elevation ads to past visitors on the Google Display Network

We do not currently use Meta Ads or TikTok Ads, and do not share data with those platforms.

5. Who we share data with

We share data with the service providers above (Google, Microsoft, Ahrefs, Cookiebot) strictly to operate the tools listed. Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA (e.g. in the United States); where this happens, they do so under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, Standard Contractual Clauses, or an equivalent safeguard.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share inquiry/project details with third parties except as needed to deliver a booked project (e.g. a subcontracted pilot, only with your knowledge).

6. How long we keep data

• Inquiry/contact form data: kept for up to 2 years after last contact, unless a project proceeds, in which case standard Dutch tax record-keeping rules apply (7 years for financial records).
• Analytics data: retained per each tool’s default retention setting (e.g. 14 months for Google Analytics), or as configured in Cookiebot.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
• Restrict or object to processing
• Request data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time (for cookies/analytics, via the Cookiebot preferences link in the footer)
• Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl
